How do we work with you?
Just fill out the quote form on our site and a Mello representative will be in touch within 1-2 business days.
What’s your process?
- For each order we confirm the product + quantities, if a Design Sprint is needed or not, then send an invoice for the items needed.
- After we receive the invoice payment, we prep the order for proofs or schedule the Design Sprint then proof after the project is over.
- Once proofs are approved we send to production, if doing a Bespoke order we’ll share a first production sample. We do not include samples for Quick Custom decorating orders.
- We complete production then ship to you!
- After production, we start brainstorming what other products would do well in your merch line.
What’s your turnaround time?
- 2-4 weeks for Quick Custom Projects
- 2-4 months for Bespoke Projects
- 2-8 weeks for Design Sprints
Do you offer samples?
We include samples with all Bespoke orders after placing the order. We do not offer samples for our Quick Custom Products/Services but can help in assisting that you’re picking the best option for you.
What’s your pricing?
All final pricing is dependent on the design, product, shipping location, and quantities for the order – however you can find general pricing in our catalog.
Is payment due upfront?
Yes, all payments are due prior to projects starting – both for design and production.
Do you offer Net Terms?
We offer Net Terms to select clients and previous clients with frequent + positive payment history.
Where are you located?
Our production headquarters are in the St.Elmo area of Austin, Texas however we ship to clients around the globe.
Do you offer order fulfillment/ship direct to customers?
We will be opening availability for storage + fulfillment clients after 5/1/2026.
How do we reorder?
Just contact your rep in a new thread and they’ll be able to easily place that reorder.
Do you offer packaging options?
We do offer various packaging for shipping and retail finishing in medium to large minimum order quantities.
Relating to Design Sprints
How do the Design Sprints work?
Our Design Sprints are made to help assist brands in designing a full line of products or even create a brand identity from scratch.
Select from a Two Week ($3,500) or One Month Sprint ($10k) depending on your project size, and our team can help from branding and designing your full line of merchandise.
Each Sprint includes unlimited items and unlimited edit rounds during your time period. We are generally booked at least one month in advance, so it’s best to lock in your place as early as possible. All design files will be owned by you at the completion of the sprint.
Do you help with free setup instead of doing a Design Sprints?
Design Sprints are not mandatory, but just an added option versus designing on your own. If your designs are completed, we can help with production only with proofing started once your order has been placed (+ invoice paid).
Can we start with the Design Sprint only?
Yes, you can do a Design Sprint only and confirm the merch order once done.
Relating to Quick Custom Services
What exactly are the Quick Custom services?
Quick Custom Services are our fast turnaround services offered in our Austin, Texas HQ including:
- Screen printing services
- Embroidery services
- Seamstress services
- Kitting, storage, and fulfillment services
These services generally have a minimum of 50 units per item/design.
What printing type do you use?
We only offer screen printing and in rare instances may recommend direct transfers or digital printing depending on the artwork.
Is there a limit to colors?
After 10 colors, we may do a simulated or CMYK process to get a full color print.
Do you do oversized printing?
We can with our Bespoke program with minimums of 100+ units.
Can you do puff print or puff embroidery?
Yes, we do not charge extra however you are limited to one color in regards to puff screen printing.
Do you use water based inks? What about discharge printing?
We use plastisol inks as our general ink selection, and can use water based inks or discharge (bleach) inks for an additional charge of 10%.
Any limit to embroidery colors?
No general limit to colors, however there may be an additional MOQ if over 5+ colors.
What affects the embroidery pricing?
The embroidery pricing is based on the size of the design and number of placements.
Will my design look okay with embroidery?
Small lines and details tend to get lost with embroidery, as long as the design is big enough it should not have a problem.
Relating to Bespoke Programs
What are turnaround times like?
Bespoke products tend to have a full turnaround of 1-4 months, sometimes longer depending on the product and quantities.
What is the Bespoke programs?
Our Bespoke programs give you the opportunity for truly full-custom options, unlike the limitations of the Quick Custom offerings – they just take quite a bit longer.
Can you make anything?
We can make anything in our catalog at a lower MOQ and can also source + produce products outside of our catalog with minimums of 300+ units.
Do you provide samples ahead of placing the full order?
We only include samples after placing the full order due to the lengthy product development process. We guarantee each product will look like your approved proof and only produce higher quality products, with quality approval during the sampling process before doing the entire order.
